?The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences held a graduation ceremony at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ehime University on March 18, 2019, with representatives from Ehime, Kagawa and Kochi Universities in attendance.
?Doctoral degrees were conferred on 20 graduates, of whom seven were international students (Indonesia 1, Thailand 2, Bangladesh 3, China 1). Four doctoral degrees by dissertation were also conferred.
?After the degree certificates and commemorative medals were presented, the President of Kagawa University, Yoshiyuki Kakehi, addressed the graduating class in Japanese, encouraging them with these words: “Being awarded a PhD is proof of having highly expert knowledge and skills and also the ability to investigate problems and seek solutions as a researcher, an independent researcher. In continuing your research, be disciplined and further your knowledge and skills as an expert in your field. I hope your research will contribute to society.”

?The day of the ceremony was blessed with great weather, and the graduates were smiling broadly for the commemorative photograph. A celebration party was then held, with Islam Shaikhul as the master of ceremonies. At the party, the graduates gave a short speech about their research life and thanked their professors and families. The party was lively, helped in part by the family and friends of the graduates.
