今年の入学者は、熱帯?亜熱帯農学留学生特別コース5人とアジア?アフリカ?環太平洋農学留学生特別コース1人に一般選抜6人を含めた12人です。
また、国籍は、タイ2人、エジプト1人、バングラデシュ1人、ベトナム1人、ネパール1人、インドネシア1人、チュニジア1人、スリランカ1人、韓国1人、日本2人です。
最初に学長、役職員等の紹介があり、次に入学者全員の紹介がありました。
続いて、柳澤康信足球即时比分_365体育直播￥球探网長から次のような式辞がありました。
『It is a great pleasure to give a welcome address in the presence of the Deans, Directors and academic advisers at this Matriculation Ceremony of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University joined with Kochi University and Kagawa University. I congratulate all of you on your getting admission to doctoral courses including the Special Course of Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture and Related Sciences and the Special Course for students from Asia, Africa and Pacific Rim Countries.
Of 12 new students, 10 are from foreign countries. Some students may have stayed in Japan for a few years, but others may have just started living in Japan. For the latter students, it may take several months to get accustomed to Japanese life. I advise such students to learn Japanese language as soon as possible to make earlier adaptation to Japanese life. Each of the three universities offers several Japanese language programs at varied levels. Each university also has a special program, the Career Development Program for Foreign Students in Japan by providing special classes to prepare students for employment in Japanese companies and assisting in their search for employment in Japan. These programs will assist you in learning a higher level of Japanese language and culture.
Most of you are from Asian and African countries where agriculture, forestry and fishery are of primary importance. Your research subject is probably related to one of such study fields. Efficient production of plant and animal resources, sustainable management of natural resources, and mitigation of natural disasters are particularly important to develop your countries. You are expected to be leaders of you countries, but you should not concern only about the development of your own countries. In the present day of globalization, there are many global issues to be resolved, such as global warning and the maintenance of biodiversity. I hope you also contribute to such global issues.
Finally, I hope you all will establish good relationships with your friends and academic advisers and will advance learning and research in this graduate school.

これに応えて、高知大学配属となる生物資源利用学専攻のヘラス ネランジャラ カウシャリアさんから次の宣誓あいさつがありました。
『It is indeed a pleasure as well as an honor bestowed on me to address before you on this very special day. Today we have gained the privilege of entering the Doctoral Program of Ehime University – an achievement that is in no doubt a cause to rejoice for all of us. We thank Ehime University for granting us this opportunity.
Behind this feat are our commitment, hard work, drive and skill. And we must ensure that we continue our future studies and research also with the same degree of commitment, intensity, enthusiasm and academic rigor, to realize our ultimate career goals.
I must also mention with gratitude about the other pillars of our success. We could never have made today a reality, without the continuous support, guidance, inspiration, as well as the kindness rendered by our professors. I take this opportunity on behalf of us to express our sincere gratitude to our professors.
