The Ehime University International Exchange and Cooperation Service (AINECS) Board of Directors Meeting and International Student Party was held on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
At the meeting of the AINECS Board of Directors, held in the salon on the second floor of the Alumni Hall, President Hiroshige Nishina and other board members from inside and outside the university attended to discuss and approve the “Business Report and Financial Report for FY2024” and the “Business Plan and Budget for FY2025.
After the Board meeting, the International Student Party was held in the cafeteria on the second floor of the University Hall, attended by a total of 91 people, including 62 international and Japanese students from Ehime University and 29 attendees from inside and outside the university. Mr. WU YUJUN (People’s Republic of China) from the Faculty of Law and Literature spoke Japanese, and Mr. AUSTION QUAINTANCE (United States) from the Faculty of Collaborative Regional Innovation spoke English as the MC. Following the opening address by President Nishina, Ms. PAWILEN ANTONNETTE BASABAS (Republic of the Philippines), Faculty of Education, gave the opening address on behalf of the international students. After that, Mr. Yoshino YOSHIN of the Matsuyama Yuzuki Lions Club gave the toast and the party started. Six members of Ehime University’s traditional Japanese music club played traditional Japanese instruments such as the koto, and the international students sang the famous Japanese song “Ue wo muite arukou” with great energy, which received a big round of applause from the audience. The international students, dressed in traditional costumes, also introduced their countries, providing a valuable opportunity to experience the gorgeous costumes and cultures of their countries.
AINECS will continue to promote activities that connect the region and the world through support for international students.
