On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, a ceremony was held in the main conference room of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ehime University, attended by the presidents of Ehime University, Kagawa University, and Kochi University, as well as other relevant persons.
At the ceremony, doctoral degrees were conferred to 14 students, including 12 course doctoral students and 2 thesis doctoral students, including 5 international students (from Indonesia, China, Nepal, and Myanmar).
Following the awarding of the degree and commemorative medal, Kochi University President Hiroyuki Ueda said, “In order to build a sustainable future, it is essential to always be aware of the balance between technology and ethics, and to promote research and development that is acceptable to society. I strongly expect you to be active at the forefront of this effort and sincerely hope that your knowledge and technology will enrich people’s lives and be passed on to the next generation. The ceremony was attended by the President of the University of Tokyo and the President of the University of Tokyo.
Rain was forecast for the day of the award ceremony, but it stayed clear until the ceremony was over and the smiling faces were captured in the viewfinder, as if to congratulate the students on their new start in the world.
