On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, the opening ceremony for spring students of the “Global Human Resource Development Program Nurtured by Ehime’s Universities and Businesses” was held at Ehime University Muse. This year, two international graduate students and one Japanese undergraduate student joined the program as new students.
This program was adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as a “2023 Job Placement Promotion Program for International Students.” It is a practical program that enables international and Japanese students to learn together with corporate employees who are actively involved in SDGs and to acquire self-branding, cross-cultural management and problem solving skills.
At the opening ceremony, Director and Vice President Kazuhiro Mitsunobu (Director of Institute for International Relations) and Tomoko Izuki, Director of the International Student Employment Promotion Program Promotion Office, gave welcoming remarks, after which students and staff introduced themselves one by one.
We hope that the students will learn and experience many things together with their colleagues who will share the program with them. We also hope that this program will lead to an increase in employment of foreign students in Ehime Prefecture and the four prefectures of Shikoku.
