On November 11, 2024 (Mon.), “Exchange Meeting between International Students and Businesses” was held at the Office of Job Placement Promotion Program for International Students, Institute for International Relations.
Top System Corporation, Japan Agent Corporation, Manabe Zoki Corporation, and Watanabe Kensetsu Corporation from Ehime Prefecture attended the exchange meeting. A total of 25 people attended, including 14 international students from Ehime University, 6 faculty members, and 5 representatives from each company.
First, the companies introduced their companies, followed by a group session in which students and companies interacted with each other in a question-and-answer session.
International students who participated in the program commented, “I got a lot of useful information and advice,” and “It was really good that I could learn information about companies and ask questions I wanted to ask by interacting directly with the people in charge of the companies.
The companies also commented, “I am interested in overseas human resources, so it was very informative to hear the real voices of international students,” and “It was a valuable opportunity to interact with people from various countries.
This exchange event provided an opportunity for international students to get a concrete image of what they would like to do after finding a job, and to learn more about companies in Ehime Prefecture. It was also an opportunity for companies to interact with international students, with whom they do not usually have the opportunity to meet.
This promotion office will continue to nurture global human resources who can play an active role in the local community, as well as support foreign students seeking employment in Japan.
