The Entrance Ceremony of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University (UGAS-EU) was held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. In attendance were the deans from the graduate schools of Ehime University, Kagawa University, and Kochi University, as well as the academic supervisors and others. Seventeen international students (7 from Indonesia, 2 each from Nepal and Pakistan, 1 each from Algeria, Thailand, China, Bangladesh, Mexico and Mozambique) embarked on a new beginning.
At the ceremony, the Dean of UGAS-EU, Professor SUGAHARA Takuya, welcomed the new students, saying: “At UGAS-EU, we not only focus on imparting specialized knowledge but also emphasize education that fosters collaboration with others and the ability to learn and act independently. I hope that your new challenges will be academically beneficial and help you advance in your future careers.”
Faiz Nur Hanum (Ehime University) replied on behalf of the new students: “I would like to thank The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University, on behalf of all the new students for providing us with the opportunity to study in such an excellent research environment. I am excited to meet each of you, share our experiences, and support each other through this academic journey.”
After the ceremony, a commemorative photo was taken with all the participants. With weather that seemed like a return to summer, the fresh smiles of the new students reflected their expectations for their upcoming student life.
