We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all those who were injured or affected by the earthquake that struck the Bungo Channel on April 17, 2024, as well as to the families and other concerned parties.
Ehime University has now set up a Disaster Response Headquarters to confirm the safety of students, pupils, students, faculty and staff, and to assess the damage to facilities.
The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued the following warning: “In areas where tremors were strong, please be aware of earthquakes with a maximum intensity of 6 or lower for about a week after the earthquake. In particular, large earthquakes are likely to occur in the next two to three days.
Please ensure the safety of yourself and everyone involved.
We will cooperate with related organizations and make every effort for restoration and support.
