On January 24, 2022 (Tuesday), sponsored by the Institute for International Relations and supported by the Ehime Association of Corporate Executives, we welcomed people who are active in international organizations, companies, and universities, and held the 1st Ehime University Institute for International Relations in 2022. A seminar titled “Thinking by Industry, Government, Academia and Citizens, Global Qualities and Abilities Required in the VUCA Era” was held online. More than 30 people from Ehime Association of Corporate Executives, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), universities, and companies participated in the event.
Kazuhiro Mitsunobu, Director of the Institute for International Relations , gave an opening address, followed by Professor Akira Nakayama, Center for English Language Education, Education and Student Services Organization, Hiroaki Nakabori, Director of the Second Project Evaluation Division, JICA Evaluation Department, and Semi. Lectures were given by four panelists, Mr. Daizo Hamada of the Research and Development Department of EX Co., Ltd., and Mr. Nicole Sonobe, Lecturer of the International Exchange Center of Nishikyushu University.
After the lectures, we discussed “What are the global qualities and abilities that can be acquired only by traveling abroad/online?” There was a lively exchange of opinions among the panelists on the theme of “what kind of cooperation is there between associations, etc.?”
This seminar was a very meaningful time for all participants to recognize the importance of discussing international exchange and human resource development not only with university students but also with various institutions and others with diversity. have become.
