? Dr. Steeve Gréaux and Prof. Tetsuo Irifune, Geodynamics Research Center (GRC) at Ehime university, and their research group revealed the composition and constitution of the deep mantle by successfully measuring the seismic velocity of the high-pressure mineral, Calcium silicate (CaSiO3) perovskite (CaPv), in combination with in situ X-ray diffraction and ultrasonic-interferometry sound-velocity measurements. Their results were published in a British multidisciplinary scientific journal, Nature, on January 10, 2019.
