?The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences (UGAS) held a graduation ceremony at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ehime University, with representatives from Ehime, Kagawa and Kochi Universities in attendance.
?Doctoral degrees were conferred on?8 graduates, of whom five were internatinal students (Bangladesh 2, Thailand 1, Vietnam 1, Indonesia 1). One Doctoral degree by dissertation was also conferred.
?After the degrees were conferred and commemorative medals were presented, the Dean of UGAS, Hiroki Oue, addressed the graduating class in English, encouraging them with these words: “I hope you could collaborate each other, develop a variety of networks for exchanging academic achievements and support your successors who will study in Rendai. New PhDs, be creative. I believe you could broaden your horizons and make your mark in the international community”.
?The day of the ceremony was blessed with great weather , and the graduates were smiling broadly for the commemorative photograph.
?A celebration party was then held, with Sadia Salma as? the master of ceremonies. At the party, the graduates gave a short speech about their research life and expressed thanks to their professors and families. It was very lively party, helped in part by family and friends of graduates.
